UV Inkjet Printer Will Gradually Replace Silk Screen Printing

indisputable fact that screen printing ink is toxic and not environmentally
friendly. The industry has long sought alternatives.
With the introduction of various environmental protection
policies, the living space of silk printing may be further reduced. In recent
years, compared with silk screen printing, UV inkjet printing is sweeping the
market with a rapid development trend. UV
inkjet printers can spray a wider
range of materials, such as aluminum plates, ceramic tiles, glass, wood, metal
plates, acrylic plates, plastics, leather and other flat materials as well as
bags, cartons and other products, more importantly, UV ink is environmentally
friendly and fully meets national requirements.
First of all, the screen printing process is relatively complicated, and the production cycle
of the stencil is relatively long, usually one week, and each link requires
manual operation. The whole process of UV inkjet printer is automatically
operated, forming an assembly line operation, the whole process is controlled
by computer, and one person operates, which greatly liberates labor and
improves efficiency. Secondly, the screen printing environment pollutes a lot.
Ink is a source of pollution in the
printing industry. Because it is an organic volatile substance, it will form
oxides and photochemical smog in the sun, and the smell is particularly strong
and pungent. Long-term work may affect people's health.
The UV inkjet printer uses UV environmental protection ink
and has passed various environmental certification standards. In addition, the
effect of silk screen printing is easy to turn yellow and has a short service
life. Because the heat generated during the LED lighting process will affect
the ink, the ink dots will affect the light emission, resulting in light
attenuation, and finally cause light attenuation. The LED flat panel light is
uneven or yellow, and the use time is not long.
The UV
inkjet printing machine is anti-ultraviolet
and moisture-proof, and the storage time is more than 20 years. The cost
problem is that the cost of UV ink is relatively low. According to the test and
comparison conducted by the New Yizhou Logo Proofing and Testing Department,
the cost of UV inkjet is less than one-fifth of that of silk screen printing
ink. Compared with the two, the UV inkjet printer has lower cost, higher
efficiency, more environmentally friendly use, and better inkjet printing
effect.
For screen printing, I really can't think
of any reason why it shouldn't be replaced. Once upon a time, screen printing
occupied half of the printing market, but with the changes and development of the
times, the balance gradually favored UV coding. It is believed that in the near
future, it will be an irreversible trend for UV inkjet to replace silk screen
printing.
